Triple Glazed Windows from Essex Trade Windows

Posted: February 15th, 2013

A recent article on our website drew attention to the fact that Essex Trade Windows manufacture, supply and install UPVC triple glazed windows throughout Essex, Kent, Suffolk & Norfolk (and pretty much anywhere we are asked to go.) To the surprise of some customers, the article did not promote triple glazing quite as much as they would have expected.

Don’t get us wrong: UPVC triple glazing does represent a benefit in terms of heat efficiency in the home. It is also a significant contributor to noise reduction. Essex Trade Widows would be the first to say that triple glazed UPVC windows are exactly the right choice for some homes.

The fact remains, however, that triple glazing is not necessary for most people. Triple glazing is more expensive to produce, not least because it uses more raw materials in the construction. UPVC triple glazed windows are naturally thicker than traditional double glazed UPVC windows and as a consequence of the extra pane of glass they are significantly heavier. Frames have to be reinforced to allow for the weight and size and the installation of triple glazed UPVC windows can be more complex in some instances.

Our delivery people, fitters and installers travel throughout the region to towns including Stowmarket, Thetford, Newmaket and Bury St Edmonds. We develop an undertanding of what sort of windows work in different areas. Around Stansted, for example, for people living under the flight path, triple glazing may prove advantageous. Similarly home owners living close to the M11 motorway in Suffolk may appreciate another layer of noise reduction. A family home right on the Norfolk coast may enjoy a degree more protection from cold easterly winds.

Whether you live in Essex, Kent, Suffolk, Norfolk or anywhere else for that matter, speak to Essex Trade Windows to see if you might benefit form UPVC triple glazing.
