Windows and doors are key elements when it comes to home insulation, reducing bills and minimising a home’s carbon footprint. The Passivhaus concept will be making a prominent appearance at this year’s eagerly awaited EcoBuild event.
On display will be several examples of innovatively designed windows and doors, which demonstrate the versatility of UPVC and PVCU/aluminium products. These can be specifically shaped and coloured to perfectly match each unique project requirement. Exterior UPVC frames can be fitted with aluminium attachments in a full selection of RAL colours. Interior frames can additionally replicate the look and feel of wood using décor foils as an alternative to RAL shades. These effects can be mixed and matched to create an individual, attractive and customised environment.
Also showcased at the event will be ‘Fix O Round’ technology, a system which provides continuous connection between the glazing and frame of a window. The advantages include insulation, sustainability, soundproofing, security and durability.
Another green product on display comes in the form of Solar+ glass, a specialist thermal coating used to maximise solar energy gains.
